Website case study – Ecommerce website
From zero to thousands.
An online visibility transformation story.
How Website Adelaide helped a retailer, Furniture Design Australia, transform their website into a high-performing e-commerce website.
Initial website challenges
Furniture Design Australia established their online presence in 2005 with a basic website. Fast forward to 2015, their website had evolved into a six-page brochure-style site. Despite this progression, it lacked the essential features and structure to capitalise on its early adoption in the industry.
In 2020, the website was redesigned into an e-commerce platform. However, it faced several critical issues, including:
- No traffic: The site was virtually invisible online.
- Technical setup flaws: Poor configurations hindered visibility and performance.
- Lack of valuable content: There was insufficient information about their products, company, and offerings.
Over the years, the retailer missed significant opportunities to build online visibility and leverage their first-mover advantage within the sector.
The website redesign:
A complete overhaul
In early 2023, Website Adelaide were tasked with transforming their underperforming e-commerce site into a high-traffic platform. The project involved:

- Technical optimisation: Ensuring the site was properly configured for search engine performance.
- SEO-focused content strategy: Creating in-depth content for the homepage, product pages, category and product pages, about the company page, focused on to rank for carefully selected keywords for long-term organic growth.
