Chiropractor, physio & allied health website experience

Experience across different allied health clinic models

Website Adelaide works with physiotherapists, chiropractors and allied health providers across Adelaide and South Australia, from specialist practices to multidisciplinary clinics.

EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE SECTOR

Examples from our allied health website experience

Physiotherapy, chiropractic and allied health can sit under the same healthcare umbrella, but the website challenges can be very different. Our work has included specialist clinical services, multidisciplinary providers, different funding pathways and practices that have expanded gradually over time.

The following projects are a selection of that experience.

01 · Women’s health, pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for Women

Location: Lockleys, Adelaide, South Australia

Physiotherapy for Women is an established practice with more than 25 years of clinical history.

The new website needed to carry that experience forward while making sensitive pelvic health services easier to understand across different stages of adult life.

We organised pelvic health, pregnancy, postnatal and musculoskeletal information more clearly and kept practitioner experience and treatment approach visible throughout the website rather than relying on an About page alone.

The project reinforced how important structure becomes when specialist services, life stages and practitioner expertise all influence where a patient begins.

02 · Multidisciplinary allied health and nursing

Trelity Health

Location: Croydon Park, Adelaide, South Australia

Trelity Health had developed well beyond the NDIS focus strongly associated with its established website.

Rather than replacing the existing site, we progressively expanded it around occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, nursing, hydrotherapy, neurological support and other services.

Funding pathways also became clearer, with NDIS, Support at Home, Medicare and private funding connected more closely to the relevant clinical services.

This ongoing work has shown us how a multidisciplinary website can evolve as services, audiences and funding arrangements become more complex.

03 · Musculoskeletal physiotherapy

Aldinga Bay Physio

Location: Aldinga Beach, South Australia

Aldinga Bay Physio demonstrates a different type of website development.

The site began as a one-page website and was expanded gradually as the practice’s priorities and search opportunities became clearer. Dedicated service pages, condition content and articles were added over time, including information around back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain.

The work has been supported by internal linking and content developed with relevant healthcare advertising requirements in mind.

This project reinforced that smaller practices do not always need a large website from the beginning. Useful depth can be built progressively when there is a genuine reason for it.

OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Different clinical models change the website structure

Across these projects, clinic structure has had a significant influence on how information needs to be organised.

A specialist physiotherapy practice may need to connect services with patient groups, conditions or stages of life.

A multidisciplinary provider has another challenge. Patients, families and referrers may need to understand several clinical disciplines as well as different ways care can be accessed or funded.

For a smaller musculoskeletal practice, the initial structure may be much simpler and develop as services and useful clinical content expand.

Our website experience has reinforced that clinic size alone does not determine website complexity.

OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Patient pathways often begin in different places

Another search behaviour we have seen is that patients do not always enter a healthcare website through the name of a service.

Some begin with a condition or problem. Others already know the practitioner type they need. Existing patients may simply be looking for a practitioner, location or booking option.

Funding can create another entry point for multidisciplinary providers, particularly where services may be accessed through several different arrangements.

The challenge is therefore not simply to list everything the clinic offers. The relationships between services, conditions, practitioners, funding and practical patient information need to remain understandable.

OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Clinical credibility needs specific evidence

Healthcare websites also require a different type of proof from many other small-business websites.

Across our allied health work, practitioner qualifications, professional experience, clinical interests and treatment approach have all played an important role in helping patients understand who they may see.

The wording of clinical information matters too. Treatment information and possible outcomes need to remain appropriately qualified rather than becoming promotional claims.

Where practitioners are AHPRA registered, relevant advertising requirements also shape how qualifications, services and treatment outcomes can be described on the website.

That consideration affects the content from the beginning rather than being something added after the website has been written.

OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Wider allied health experience

Our experience extends beyond the featured projects and includes work across physiotherapy, chiropractic, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, nursing, hydrotherapy and multidisciplinary healthcare.

We have worked with solo practitioners, specialist clinics, practices with several clinicians, mobile services and providers operating across different funding arrangements.

Together, that work has given us experience across a broad range of patient pathways, clinical models and geographic catchments.

OUR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Allied health website experience across South Australia

Our work includes clinics and providers across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.

The realistic catchment can vary considerably. A local musculoskeletal practice may draw mainly from nearby suburbs, while a specialist clinical service can attract patients from much further away.
