Change the default info-box in Facebook
Step by step tutorial on how to change to a different image and text when linking to a website on Business Facebook Page?
We get the question so often, so here is a simple “How to change Facebook image / text when sharing”.
Copy the link to the website in the browser.
Paste it into the Facebook update.
The image that appears you might not like. Like this one for example:
Under the info box, you will see a + sign. Click on it and upload one you like.
Click the small x on the right hand side to remove the one you did not want.
Now the image you uploaded will be displayed instead.
You might not like the text that is displayed. Click on the text itself to change.
You can do the same for the heading. Click on it to change.
Now you have changed everything that was displayed by default.
If you don’t want any of it to appear you just press the x at the top right.
Then upload a picture that you would like with the post to attract attention.
If you are posting to your private Facebook page.
If you post a link on your private Fb page it works a bit differently.
If you don’t want the default image you just press the x at the top right.
After deleting the image you can post as is and/or change the text as before by clicking on the text itself.
If you want an image, you press the image symbol as you would normally when posting.
However, after choosing an image, the info box will disappear.
The update will now have the link and the image you choose. You can write as much text as you like before or after the link.
